Men's Ice Hockey Picks Up Second Win of the Season on the Road Against Northern Virigina

Dale City, Va. – The Bryn Athyn College men's ice hockey team defeated Northern Virginia 4-2 in non-conference action on the road.

Four different Lions scored in the 4-2 win over Northern Virignia. Danny Triesler and Jordan Roth had a goal and an assist each. Blake McCurdy and Ray Norfo had a goal a piece. Charlie Livens, Drew Collins and Blake Cole had an assist each.

McCurdy put the Lions on the board, with a goal off a pass from Collins and Cole with 12:05 left in the first period. 

Norther Virigina tied the game, off a second period goal with 7:45 left.  Three minutes later, Norfo notched in a goal off Jordan Roth and Charlie Livens to take the lead.  With 3:43 left in the second,  Triesler put in an insurance goal before heading into the break.

A Minute into the third period, Roth scored off Triesler to give the Lions a commanding 4-1 lead. Northern Virginia would score with 12:51 left in the third, to chip away at the Lion lead, but it was not enough.

The Lions will play University of Maryland tomorrow at 1:00 pm.
