Men's Ice Hockey Knocked Off By NJIT

Newark, NJ. - The Bryn Athyn College men's ice hockey team fell to NJIT 10-3 in non conference play Friday night.

Blake McCurdy led the Lions with two goals. Terrence Johnson recorded one goal, while Danny Triesler, Drew Collins, and Jordan Roth each recorded an assist.

NJIT started off strong, scoring the first three goals of the game. With 3 minutes left in the first period, McCurdy chipped away at the Highlanders' lead, recording an unassisted goal.

During the second period of play, McCurdy notched his second goal of the game at the 13:19 mark, off a pass from Collins. Less than a minute later, Roth and Triesler connected with Johnson, who found the back of the net.

Steve Cappas recorded 8 saves between the pipes, while Matthew Bartalini recorded 23.

The Lions return home for conference play on Monday, January 16th against Centenary. The puck is set to drop at 7:00pm.
