Field hockey falls to Keystone 5-0

LA PLUME, Pa. – The Bryn Athyn College field hockey suffered a 5-0 non-conference loss to Keystone College Saturday afternoon.

Keystone (1-1) led 2-0 at halftime on goals by Taylor Cercone and Heaven Houck. Cercone opened the scoring at 26:54 after finding the ball in a scramble in front of the net and shooting it into the open goal. Five minutes later, Houck slammed home a crossing pass from Kayla Bain.

Savanna Robinson one-timed a Bain centering pass into the cage just 1:47 into the second half to make the score 3-0. Houck scored the fourth goal on a loose ball and Shelby Croasdale had the final goal after tapping in a rebound.

Bryn Athyn goalie Macey Mitchell (Millsboro, Del./Sussex Technical) made a career-high 13 saves in the loss.

The Lions (0-3) return to the field on Wednesday, Sept. 13 with a 5 p.m. non-conference match at Bryn Mawr.
