BRYN ATHYN, Pa. – The second season of field hockey at Bryn Athyn College will get underway on Friday, Aug. 31 when the Lions head to Immaculata for the season opener. It will be the first of 14 games on the 2018 schedule that was announced by head coach Katie Fitzgerald on Friday.

After opening the season on the road, Bryn Athyn will play five consecutive matches at the friendly confines of General Ronald K. Nelson Field, starting with Neumann on Tuesday, Sept. 4. Then, the Lions will play twice in a three-day span against visiting New England College on Sunday, Sept. 9 and Bryn Mawr on Tuesday, Sept. 11. Bryn Athyn wraps up its slate of home non-conference matches with a contest against Moravian on Saturday, Sept. 15.

The Lions make their Colonial State Athletic Conference (CSAC) debut when they take on Cedar Crest on Wednesday, Sept. 26 to conclude the home stand.

Bryn Athyn heads back on the road to play Wilson on Saturday, Sept. 29 and Keystone on Tuesday, Oct. 2. The Lions welcome Notre Dame (Md.) to campus on Wednesday, Oct. 12. On Friday, Oct. 12, the Lions host Wilson as part of Charter Day Weekend.

After going to Cedar Crest on Tuesday, Oct. 16, the Lions play their final home game of the regular season against Keystone on Saturday, Oct. 20.

CSAC play comes to a close on Wednesday, Oct. 24 with a game at Notre Dame (Md.) The regular season with a non-conference clash at Delaware Valley on Saturday, Oct. 27.

In its inaugural season, the Lions went 2-12 overall. Bryn Athyn returns All-North Eastern Athletic Conference forward Payton Boler.
