BRYN ATHYN, Pa. – The Bryn Athyn College field hockey team played the second half of its suspended Colonial States Athletic Conference contest against Cedar Crest College from Sept. 26 on Monday afternoon with the visiting Falcons picking up a 4-1 win.
The matchup was halted 12 days ago due to lightning and heavy rain in the area after 35 minutes of play with Cedar Crest (4-6, 3-1 CSAC) leading 3-1. In the first half of the contest, Annalise Unger, Samantha Johnson, and Alexandra Arabio had the Cedar Crest goals, while Kyla Rogers scored for Bryn Athyn (1-6, 0-2 CSAC).
After play resumed, Unger would be the only player to record a goal at 45:46 as she took a pass in the arc and dribbled around Lion goalie Shelly Drucker for her second goal of the game.
Drucker made three saves in Monday's second half to finish with nine overall. Eve Miller was credited with two defensive saves, one coming in each half. Cedar Crest's Emma Ryan—who didn't play in the first half on Sept. 26—made two stops.
Bryn Athyn returns to action with a CSAC battle against the College of Notre Dame (Md.) on Wednesday, Oct. 10 at 7 p.m. on General Ronald K. Nelson Field.
