Lions fall to Division I Drexel in exhibition contest

PHILADELPHIA – The Bryn Athyn College men's basketball team was defeated by Division I Drexel University, 118-41, in its final preseason tune-up Wednesday night in the Daskalakis Athletic Center.

Lamarr Crenshaw was Bryn Athyn's leading scorer as he poured in 10 points on 4-of-12 shooting. Crenshaw was the Lions' top rebounder with three boards, two on the offensive end of the floor. Rahim Washington and Michael Jones each added six points.

Marcell Curry racked up three points and a team-high three steals, while Gabe Michnya had two steals.

Drexel got a game-high 26 points on 8-of-10 shooting from 3-point range from Trevor John. Jarvis Doles and Zach Walton both made six of their 10 points to end up with 15 points.

The host Dragons shot 67.2 percent (43-of-64) from the field, while the Lions shot 23.8 percent (16-of-53).

Bryn Athyn opens the 2018-19 season at the Rinso Marquette Tournament hosted by Lebanon Valley College. The Lions will play the host Dutchmen in the opener on Friday, Nov. 16 at 8 p.m.
