CARLISLE, Pa. – The Bryn Athyn College men's golf team opened its 2018-19 season Tuesday afternoon with an 11th-place finish at the Dickinson College Fall Invitational at the par-72 Carlisle Barracks Golf Course.
Cody Smith led the way for the Lions as he turned in a scorecard of 86 (+14) to finish in a deadlock for 45th in the 69-player field. In his Bryn Athyn debut, Devon Becker was just one stroke behind Smith and had his score of 87 (+15) place him in a tie for 48th.
Julion Lever had a round of 94 (+22) to end the afternoon in 53rd. Cullen McNally rounded out the Bryn Athyn scoring as he came in 64th with a score of 104 (+32). Connor Devereux ended the day in 67th putting together a round of 108 (+36).
As a team, the Lions had a combined score of 371 (83), tying them with Elizabethtown. Gettysburg, led by Danny Harcourt's winning score of 68 (-4), won the team title with a total of 288 (E).
Bryn Athyn returns to action on Tuesday, Oct. 9 at the Alvernia Invitational at the Ledgerock Golf Club in Mohnton, Pa.
