Men's ice hockey blanked at SUNY Canton 2-0

CANTON, N.Y. – The Bryn Athyn College men's ice hockey team was shutout 2-0 by host SUNY Canton Saturday night.

After a scoreless opening 39 minutes, SUNY Canton's Tyler Bullard broke the deadlock by recording a power play with 36 seconds left in the second period to put the Roos (7-15-2) ahead 1-0. Josh Sova and Bean Beasley assisted on the play.

Kasey Kulczycki tacked on an unassisted insurance goal at the 10:40 mark of the third period.

The Bryn Athyn (7-11-1) power play struggled mightily as the Lions were held without a goal on 11 opportunities. The Lions had four man advantages during the second period and five in the third period.

SUNY Canton had one goal on five power-play chances.

McKenzie Chalmers stopped 26 shots in the loss for Bryn Athyn. SUNY Canton's Austin Washkurak turned aside all 21 shots he faced.
