GANSEVOORT, N.Y. - The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) has announced its Student-Athlete of the Week selections in men’s lacrosse for the week ending Apr. 30. This week marks the final awards of the season for men’s lacrosse.
James Vandegrift (Fox Chase, Pa.) has been selected as the NEAC Men’s Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week after leading the Lions in goals and assists in a 2-0 week in conference play. The rookie attacker tallied two goals and five assists, including a man-up goal, in an 11-7 win versus SUNY Polytechnic. Vandegrift added a career-high four goals with four assists in an 18-9 victory at SUNY Cobleskill on Apr. 29. He scored 15 points with a ground ball and a caused turnover on the week.
Brad DePasquale (Baltimore, Md.), a freshman goalie has been named the NEAC Men’s Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week with two wins in league play. DePasquale made 10 saves in a win over SUNY Polytechnic before recorded 12 stops later in the week against SUNY Cobleskill. He finished the week with a 8.26 goals-against average and a .579 save percentage as his efforts have helped Bryn Athyn College win six straight conference games.
