BRYN ATHYN, Pa. – The Bryn Athyn College men's lacrosse team put together a complete team effort as the Lions picked up a 15-1 North Eastern Athletic Conference victory over visiting Medaille College Wednesday afternoon on General Ronald K. Nelson Field.
Bryn Athyn (4-6, 3-1 NEAC) had a season-high 10 players find the back of the net, led by a game-high three goals from Nolan Frame. Andrew Coyle, Jon Carr, and Kyle Shaffer all added two goals. Miles Jackson, Cameron Leech, Connor Buick, Ricky Tran, Dakota Ulmer, and Riley Flynn scored once.
Shaffer and Jackson both scored for the first time in their careers.
In addition to his goal, Leech racked up five assists. Thirteen of the 15 Lion goals had an assist.
The Lions controlled the game from the start as they scored four times in the opening four minutes and would lead 8-0 after one. Bryn Athyn tacked on three more goals during the second 15 minutes to extend the lead to 11-0 at the half. After Buick and Coyle scored in the third quarter, Leech scored with 3:30 gone in the fourth to give Bryn Athyn a 14-0 lead.
David Cloy got Medaille (1-4, 0-2 NEAC) on the board with 10:05 left in the contest to break up the Bryn Athyn shutout.
Shaffer completed the scoring with an unassisted goal at the 8:56 mark.
Towi Oakes made 21 saves for the Mavericks.
Bryn Athyn travels to Cazenovia for a NEAC showdown on Saturday, April 14 at 1 p.m.
