Brock, Hager lead men's soccer to first NEAC win, 1-0 at Cazenovia

CAZENOVIA, N.Y. – Zachary Brock scored a 51st-minute goal and Quentin Hager made it stand up with a strong performance in net to lead the Bryn Athyn College men's soccer team to a 1-0 North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) victory over Cazenovia College Saturday afternoon.

Brock recorded his second goal of the season—first since the season opener against Cairn—at the 50:09 mark to snap a scoreless deadlock.

In goal, Hager stopped a career-high seven shots to post his first career solo shutout. Four of his seven saves came during the opening 45 minutes. All three of his second-half saves were made after Brock gave the Lions (4-5, 1-3 NEAC) the lead.

Cazenovia's (5-5, 1-2 NEAC) Tom Nicholls stopped six shots in the loss. Both teams attempted 13 shots.

Bryn Athyn goes right back to work with a NEAC contest at Morrisville State on Sunday, Oct. 8 at noon.
