Men's soccer defeated by host Albright in non-conference battle

READING, Pa. – The Bryn Athyn College men's soccer team wrapped up its non-conference schedule with a 3-0 road loss to Albright Thursday night in Shirk Stadium.

Billy Hanratty did all of the scoring for host Albright (4-8-1) with two goals in the first half and one in the second. He scored the opening goal at 5:29 after receiving a centering pass from Anthony Parlato. Just over eight minutes later, Alexander MacDonald sprung Hanratty with a long through ball and Hanratty scored on the breakaway for the second goal.

Hanratty recorded the final goal at 48:29 when he headed home a Parlato cross.

Shane McCurdy made eight saves for Bryn Athyn (2-9-0), while Albright's Billy Mullen had four saves.

Offensively for Bryn Athyn, Matheus Souza, Alex Medina, Brennen McCurdy, and Jacob Elder all had a shot on goal.

Bryn Athyn returns home to take on Wilson in a Colonial States Athletic Conference battle on Saturday, Oct. 13 at 1 p.m. Before the match, the Lions will recognize their senior class.
