Men’s tennis falls to Gwynedd Mercy, 7-2

GWYNEDD VALLEY, Pa. – The Bryn Athyn College men's tennis program fell to Gwynedd Mercy University, 7-2, in a non-conference match on Thursday afternoon.

The Lions earned both of their points with victories at No. 1 and No. 4 singles.

Amit Padmanabhan improved his singles record to 4-1 after he outlasted Brian Irwin to pick up a three-set win in the No. 1 flight, 6-4, 5-7, 6-2. Zach Brock notched his first victory at No. 3 singles as he took out Trevor Vitz in straight sets 6-3, 6-0.

Bryn Athyn goes back into North Eastern Athletic Conference play with a road match against Penn State Berks on Saturday, April 7 at noon.
