Women's basketball defeated by host Gallaudet

WASHINGTON, DC – Clayshonia Cogmon and Lauren Beck each recorded a double-double for the Bryn Athyn College women's basketball team in a 94-51 non-conference loss to Gallaudet Sunday afternoon.

Cogmon racked up 14 points and a game-high 15 rebounds, 10 on the offensive end of the court, for her fourth straight double-double to open the season. Beck posted her first career double-double with a career-high 10 points and 11 rebounds.

Alisha McKnight and Allie Warren both added seven points.

Bryn Athyn (0-4) shot 33.3 percent (21-of-63) from the field and posted season-highs in rebounds and assists with 44 and 12, respectively.

Hannah Neild paced Gallaudet (2-2) with a game-high 27 points on 11-of-17 shooting, 5-of-8 from 3-point range. Sabina Shysh contributed 22 points. Jakkisha Smith had 12 points and 10 steals, while Kelli Barnes had 10 rebounds.

The Bison made 46.6 percent (41-of-88) of their shots. Gallaudet tallied 51 rebounds, 27 offensive, 24 steals, and 21 assists.

Bryn Athyn makes Colonial States Athletic Conference debut when it travels to Allentown, Pa. to take on Cedar Crest on Wednesday, Nov. 28 at 5 p.m.
