Women's Lacrosse Earns First Program Win Against Univ. of Dallas 12-10
Aston, PA. – The Bryn Athyn College women's lacrosse team picked up their first program win against University of Dallas, 12-10 in Sunday afternoon action.
The Lions got on the board first, from a goal by Sierra Asplundh, 1:29 into the game. Dallas tied the game 45 seconds later at 1-1. Bryn Athyn scored four answered goals, led by Gross, Hyatt and Schmucker. The Crusaders scored quick back-to-back goals, to chip away at the Lions lead 5-3. Schmucker and Hyatt scored two goals each to build the Lions lead to 9-3.
Dallas started the scoring 3:09 into the second half. Gross scored 13 seconds later, after the Lions won the draw control to build the Bryn Athyn lead to six, 10-4. The Crusaders scored two quick goals to bring the game with four. The Lions answered with two goals themselves to rebuild the lead to six, with 13:09 left in the second. Dallas would score four goals at the end of the second, but wasn't enough to take down the Lions.
Bryn Athyn heads on the road to face Richard Stockton next Saturday, for a 1:00 pm game time.
