Women's soccer takes sixth seed for CSAC Tournament after road loss to Rosemont

ROSEMONT, Pa. – The Bryn Athyn College women's soccer team will be the number six seed for the upcoming Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) Tournament after ending the regular season with a 3-0 CSAC loss at Rosemont College Thursday afternoon.

Bryn Athyn ends the regular season with a 5-7-2 overall record and a 3-4-1 mark against the CSAC. As the sixth seed, the Lions will open their CSAC Tournament at third-seeded Cairn University on Monday, Oct. 29 in Langhorne, Pa. The teams last met on Oct. 13 with the visiting Highlanders picking up a 1-0 overtime win over the Lions at Bryn Athyn.

Rosemont's Maciana Mazzeo opened the scoring in Thursday's finale with a shot just outside the penalty arc at the 8:44 mark. Madeline Polino doubled the Raven (5-11, 4-4 CSAC) advantage just 2:51 after halftime with an assist from Mazzeo. Emily Johnston finished up the scoring about 10 minutes later.

Bryn Athyn keeper Allie Warren and Rosemont keeper Emma Linsday both stopped seven shots for their respective teams.

Rose Glass had a team-high three shots on goal for the Lions, while Ashley Rivera put two shots on target.
