Complete 2017 Bryn Athyn College Women's Volleyball Schedule

BRYN ATHYN, Pa.
– Bryn Athyn College women's volleyball first-year head coach Dennis Hibbs has announced the Lions' 2017 schedule, which consists of 20 matches, on Monday. The Lions have 11 non-conference matches and 9 North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) lined up this season.

The season gets underway on Saturday, Sept. 2 with a tri-match in the Asplundh Field House against Rosemont and Brooklyn College. This will be the first time that Bryn Athyn will face Brooklyn.

The home tri-match is the first of three tri-matches on the 2017 slate. On Tuesday, Sept. 12, the Lions travel to the University of Valley Forge to face the host Patriots and Gwynedd Mercy. Bryn Athyn heads to Cedar Crest four days later for matches against Sarah Lawrence—who the Lions will play for the first time in program history—and Cedar Crest.

Bryn Athyn has home-and-homes lined up with Cairn (Sept. 19 – home, Oct. 24 – away) and Penn State Brandywine (Sept. 25 – away, Oct. 9 – home). The Lions will welcome Valley Forge to campus on Thursday, Oct. 19 to complete that home-and-home series.

NEAC competition gets underway on Thursday, Sept. 7 when the Lions visit the College of Saint Elizabeth.

During NEAC play, Bryn Athyn will be at home for four matches. The Lions host Lancaster Bible on Monday, Sept. 11; Penn State Berks on Thursday, Sept. 14; defending conference champion Gallaudet on Saturday, Sept. 23; and Penn State Abington on Wednesday, Oct. 4.

In addition to the Saint Elizabeth trip, the Lions are on the road against Wilson on Saturday, Sept. 30 and Wells on Saturday, Oct. 28. Bryn Athyn will make a second trip to Saint Elizabeth on Saturday, Oct. 14 for a pair of neutral-site matches with Penn College and Cazenovia.
