ROSEMONT, Pa. – The Bryn Athyn College men's golf team was selected third in the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) preseason coaches poll that was released by the conference office Wednesday. The voting was conducted by the seven CSAC head coaches.
The Lions, who received 23 points in the poll, enter their first season in the CSAC after coming in eighth place in the 2018 North Eastern Athletic Conference Championship. Bryn Athyn returns all four players who competed in the event, led by Cody Smith who came in a tie for 32nd place.
Rosemont garnered all seven first-place votes to top the poll with the maximum 49 points. Cairn was second on all the coaches' ballots to pile up 42 points to end up in second.
Behind Bryn Athyn, Wilson, Centenary, and Keystone were all deadlocked for fourth with 22 points, while Clarks Summit rounded out the poll with 16 points.
The 2019 CSAC Championship will be held during the weekend of April 25-26 at Indian Valley Golf Club in Telford, Pa.
