BRYN ATHYN, Pa. – Led by an All-Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) effort from Michael Haas, the Bryn Athyn College men's cross country team turned in a sixth-place finish in the CSAC Championship Saturday afternoon on the campus of Bryn Athyn College.
Haas became the team's first-ever all-conference runner after he completed the 8-kiometer course in a time of 32 minutes, 30.8 seconds to come in 13th place, earning him a place on the All-CSAC second team.
Zachary Brock crossed the finish line in 33:18.1 to end the day in 18th place. Isaac Syre posted the 25th-place time of 36:38.2. Justin Rallo and Jarrett Shapcott rounded out the scoring for the Lions by finishing in 37th (39:36.2) and 38th (39:57.9), respectively.
Matt Traber (46th, 45:58.8) and Bennett Buick (47th, 48:37.6) rounded out Bryn Athyn's lineup.
The Lions finished the event with 126 points. Cairn—led by race winner and CSAC runner of the year Joel Varughese (29:02.6)—won the conference title with 21 points. Keystone was second with 56 points, while Rosemont claimed third with 106 points.
