ALLENTOWN, Pa. – The Bryn Athyn College women's soccer team suffered a tough 2-1 Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) loss to host Cedar Crest College Tuesday night.
The Lions (3-4-1, 1-1-0 CSAC) needed 2:42 to get on the board thanks to their leading scorer Tori Titano. Titano scored her team-leading eighth goal of the season by heading home an Ashley Rivera corner kick. Rivera is now tied for the CSAC lead in assists with seven.
Bryn Athyn held on to its one-goal advantage until the 42:25 mark when Cedar Crest's Adrianna Tennis leveled the match at one with a shot that Lion goalkeeper Allie Warren got her hands on, but couldn't keep from going in.
Tess Spitler gave the host Falcons (8-3-0, 3-1-0 CSAC) a 2-1 lead at 64:50 by slotting home a Brittney Dunleavy crossing pass.
Warren earned the start in goal and stopped four shots in the opening 61:31. Lauren Beck finished the match and made five saves. Cedar Crest's Morgan Maddock was credited with one save.
Bryn Athyn returns to the road for a CSAC showdown with the College of Notre Dame (Md.) on Saturday, Oct. 6 at 4 p.m.
