Women's tennis falls to Penn State Berks
READING, Pa. -- The Bryn Athyn College women's tennis team was upended by Penn State Berks, 8-1, in a North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) match Saturday afternoon at the Gring's Mill Tennis Courts.
Marie Daum notched her first singles victory of the season as Caroline Bashore, Daum's opponent at No. 2 singles, retired due to injury in the second set. Bashore had won the first set 6-2 and Daum was on the verge of winning set two. Bashore retired with Daum leading the second set 5-4.
Bryn Athyn has a week off before hosting Penn College in a NEAC match on Saturday, April 14 at 11 a.m. on the Gladish Tennis Courts.
