Women’s tennis falls to visiting Eastern

BRYN ATHYN, Pa. – The Bryn Athyn College women's tennis team was defeated by visiting Eastern University, 8-1, in a non-conference match Tuesday afternoon on the Gladish Courts.

The Lions' number three doubles team of Christine Daum and Sierra Heinrichs earned Bryn Athyn's first point of the season thanks to an 8-5 victory over Shade Obadina and Allison Ryan.

Alair Brock nearly picked up a second point in singles action but was narrowly defeated by Emily Stevens at No. 4, 6-7 (2-7), 7-6 (7-1), 1-0 (10-7).

Bryn Athyn has a quick turnaround to get ready for its next match, which will be on Wednesday, March 27 at 5 p.m. against visiting Gwynedd Mercy.
