Women's volleyball earns CSAC Fall 2018 Team Academic Award

ROSEMONT, Pa. – The Bryn Athyn College women's volleyball team was recognized by the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) for its strength in the classroom as the Lions received the CSAC Fall 2018 Academic Award on Thursday.

The Lions owned the highest team grade-point average during the fall semester. Bryn Athyn bested the other eight women's volleyball programs with a team GPA of 3.587 during the fall term.

Established prior to the start of the 2013-14 academic year, the CSAC Team Academic Award is given annually to each sports team whose student-athletes, while competing in conference-sponsored sports, achieve the highest combined grade point average. Grade point average calculations correspond with the student-athletes' season of participation during the sport's traditional season. The 2018 Fall Team Academic Awards are based on each team's combined GPA from the Fall 2018 semester only.

On the court, the Lions posted a 9-13 overall record, 4-4 against the CSAC, and reached the semifinal of the CSAC Tournament.
