ROSEMONT, Pa. – Bryn Athyn College is the home of the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) women's volleyball player of the week for the second straight week after Hannah Dewees earned the conference honor Monday.
Dewees picked up the CSAC player of the week award for the second time in her career, the first time coming on October 29, 2018. Last week, Dewees notched her seventh double-double of the 2019 season with 14 kills and 11 digs in the Lions' 3-1 victory over Cairn on Nov. 2 to help Bryn Athyn secure the fourth seed for the CSAC Tournament.
A week ago, teammate Briana Cliney was selected as the conference's player of the week.
Dewees sits fifth in the league with 215 kills and ninth with 2.83 kills per set, both team highs. She is also third on the team with 206 digs and fourth with 27 service aces.
Bryn Athyn went 8-13 during the regular season and finished 6-3 in the league to take the fourth seed in the conference tournament. The Lions will host Keystone in the first round of the tournament on Tuesday, Nov. 5 at 7 p.m. in Asplundh Field House.
