ROSEMONT, Pa. – Bryn Athyn College outside hitter Hannah Dewees and middle hitter Briana Cliney were named to the All-Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) women's volleyball team released by the conference office Tuesday. The voting for the teams was conducted by the conference's 10 head coaches.
Dewees improved on her honorable mention recognition last season with a selection to the All-CSAC second team in 2019. She is having the best season in her career at Bryn Athyn, setting career-highs in kills (215), hitting percentage (.149), and digs (206). Dewees leads the team in kills and is third in digs. In the CSAC, she ranks fifth in kill and ninth in kills per set (2.83). On Nov. 4, Dewees was tabbed as the conference's player of the week.
In addition to earning a place on the all-conference team, Dewees was named to the CSAC All-Sportsmanship Team.
Cliney is an All-CSAC honorable mention player for the second straight season. The CSAC player of the week on Oct. 28, Cliney ranks fourth in the conference with a team-best .280 hitting percentage. She leads the team with 31 total blocks and sits second with 165 kills, both career-highs.
Bryn Athyn (8-13, 6-3 CSAC) hosts Keystone in the first round of the CSAC Tournament on Tuesday, Nov. 5 at 7 p.m. in Asplundh Field House.
