BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Bryn Athyn College women's cross country team recorded a fifth-place finish in the Moravian/Cedar Crest Open on Friday afternoon in Bicentennial Park.
Bryn Athyn totaled 169 points in the nine-team event, that was won by co-host Moravian with 28 points. The Greyhounds edged out York (Pa.), who had 29 points, for the victory.
Natalie Daum was the top Lion for the fourth consecutive race as she completed Friday's 6-kilometer course, the same course that will host the Colonial States Athletic Conference Championship in October, in 28 minutes, 08.9 seconds to come in 35th place in the 80-runner event.
Lianhua Lenihan earned a 48th-place finish after finishing the race in 29:53.7. Alair Brock set a personal-best time as she recorded a time of 30:30.2 and came in 51st. Morgan Flynn owned the 54th-place time of 30:38.5. Danae Elder took Bryn Athyn's final scoring position with the 68th-place time of 34:24.7.
Sierra Heinrichs completed the Lions' lineup as she crossed the line in 44:17.1 for a 78th-place finish.
Moravian's Katie Mayer was the race winner after posting a time of 24:22.5.
Bryn Athyn's next race is the Penn State Abington Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 22 at Lorimer Park in Abington.
