Women's cross country finishes second in Penn State Abington Invitational

ABINGTON, Pa. – The Bryn Athyn College women's cross country recorded a second-place finish in the Penn State Abington Invitational Saturday morning at Lorimer Park.

The Lions finished up in a tie with Cairn in terms of points as both teams picked up 47 points. Bryn Athyn won the tiebreak with a better total time. The Lions had a combined team time of 2 hours, 11 minutes, 21 seconds, while the Highlanders' team time was 2:13.25.

Natalie Daum continued her strong season as she posted a 5-kilometer time of 23:36.1 to come in third place in the 32-runner field. Lianhua Lenihan recorded her fourth top-15 finish of the year after crossing the finish line in 13th with a time of 25:49.3. Gracelyn Bullard finished her first 5K of the season with the 14th place time of 26:15.5.

Alair Brock was Saturday's 17th-place finisher after she completed the race in 26:55.7. Danae Elder rounded out the Bryn Athyn lineup with a 21st place finish with a time of 28:44.9.

Immaculata won the team title with 37 points, while Gwynedd Mercy's Elizabeth Rosario was the race winner with a time of 21:57.5

Bryn Athyn returns to action on Friday, Sept. 28 in the Bryn Athyn Invitational at 5 p.m.
