Men's Soccer Falls in OT, 3-2

Bryn Athyn, Pa. – The Bryn Athyn College Men's Soccer team fell 3-2 in overtime to Christendom College.

Bryn Athyn's Scott Merrill and Mark Apedo scored both goals for the Lions. Bismark Ntow and Chris Hyatt put up assists respectively.

Christendom's John Ciskanik notched two goals, and had six shots on goal. Thomas Salmon scored the game-winning goal in overtime, to lift the Crusaders to victory

Ntow had an opportunity to put the Lions ahead by one, when he took a shot from outside of the 18-yard line, but the ball was deflected off the crossbar. With two minutes left in the first half, Ciskanik scored to put the Crusaders up 1-0 going into the break.

The Lions did not waste anytime in the second half; Merrill scored five minutes in, to tie the game at one.  Bryn Athyn took the lead, when Apedo scored from 35 yards out off a pass from Hyatt.

With two minutes remaining in the game, Ciskanik put in the game-tying goal from outside of the goalie box. Christendom's Salmon, scored the game winning goal 7:30 in overtime for the win.

Bryn Athyn had 10 shots on goal; Kim Ji Hoon made seven saves in goal.

Lions return back on the field, Wednesday, Sept. 14th when they take on Harford CC. The game is slated for 4:30 pm.
