Box Score Bryn Athyn, Pa. - The Bryn Athyn College men's soccer team fell to Delaware Valley College 4-1 in Tuesday afternoon action.
The Aggies came out putting a goal in the first five minutes. The Lions had a chance to tie the game when Ik Jin Yu took a shot fromt the 18 yard line, but the ball sprayed high and hit the crossbar. At the 22nd minute, a ball brought out wide by the Lions offense was crossed into the goalie box to Blake McCurdy, but was shot high.
The Lions were down 1-0 going into the half.
In the second half, Delaware Valley took a two goal lead with a goal at the 50 minute mark.
At the 58th minute mark, a clearing mistake by the Aggies goal, put the ball to Josh Cook's feet. He took two strides and scored to chip away at the lead.
The Aggies defense tigthened-up and the presure was put on the Lions. They would score two more goals to win 4-1.
Johnny Walker made seven saves in net.
The Lions return to the field Thursday, to end their regular season against PSU-Harrisburg. Kick-off is set for 4:00 pm.
