Box Score Bryn Athyn, Pa. – The Bryn Athyn men's soccer team fell to Moravian College 2-1 in Tuesday afternoon action.
Blake McCurdy scored the lone goal for the Lions. Christian Buss notched the assist.
The Lions pressed the Greyhounds from the start of the game. 26 minutes in, Buss weaved a pass through traffic to McCurdy who was sprinting to the left side of the Moravian goal. McCurdy one-timed the ball to the high right corner, just escaping the Greyhound's goalie.
Bryn Athyn held the game at 1-0 going into the half break. The Greyhounds outshot the Lions 9-2 in the first half.
The momentum shifted in the second half with Moravian putting more pressure on Bryn Athyn. The Greyhounds tied the game at one at the 73rd minute mark. Six minutes later, Moravian would score the game-winning goal. The Lions had opportunities to break through and tie, but the Greyhound defense kept the ball from back of the net.
Dustin Synnestvedt made eight saves in goal for the Lions.
Bryn Athyn returns back to the pitch Thursday to face PSU-Abington at 4:00 pm.
