Box Score Bryn Athyn, PA- The Bryn Athyn Lions fell to Penn State York today 3-0, in a hard fought match.
The Lions dominated for large stretches of the game but were unable to make the most of the multiple opportunities they created. The Lions fell behind in the first minute but wrested control of the game from their opponents for the majority of the half, with Ian Crowther testing the keeper early from far out.
Bryn Athyn continued to press, and won a free kick outside the box that Alexander Pafford laid off to Greg Synnestvedt, whose shot went just over the bar. Penn State York grabbed two more goals before the end of the 1st, but the second was an even affair. Santiago Tabares curved a free kick from outside the box that was well saved by the keeper, and Johhny Walker had some typically tremendous saves that kept the Lions fighting.
The Lions play in their annual alumni game on Saturday morning at 11:30, and have their final home game on Tuesday against Valley Forge Christian University.
