Men's soccer shut out by Lancaster Bible, 2-0

BRYN ATHYN, Pa. – The Bryn Athyn College men's soccer team was shut out by visiting Lancaster Bible, 2-0, in a North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) match Saturday afternoon on General Ronald K. Nelson Field.

Edward Bills had a hand in both Lancaster Bible (6-6-2, 2-1-1 NEAC) goals.

He opened the scoring at the 6:37 mark when he performed a leaping header at the right post to put a Joel Hughes pass from the left sideline into the open net. Then at 56:55, Bills found Caleb Nelson just outside the six-yard box. Nelson took the pass and put the ball inside the right post to extend the Charger lead to 2-0.

Thiago Naque made five saves in the Lancaster Bible goal to record the shutout.

Bryn Athyn keeper Camden Cacolice had three stops for the Lions.

The Lions owned a 16-13 shot advantage.

Bryn Athyn (4-7-0, 1-4-0 NEAC) takes on the College of Saint Elizabeth in a NEAC match on Wednesday, Oct. 18 at 4 p.m.
