Box Score

BRYN ATHYN, Pa. – The Bryn Athyn College field hockey team dropped the middle game of its five-game homestand to Bryn Mawr College, 6-0, in a non-conference clash Tuesday night on General Ronald K. Nelson Field.

Zaynah Moen recorded three of the Owls' (4-0) six goals, while Rebecca Britt had a goal and an assist. Bailey Turner and Kelly Bergman also scored for Bryn Mawr.

Bergman opened the score at the 8:48 as she mishit her shot at the top of the arc, but had just enough power to fool the Bryn Athyn (1-3) defense and get over the line for the game's first goal. Moen recorded the Owls' next two goals at 12:04 and 16:52 on rebounds after initial shots on penalty corners.

Turner corralled the rebound of a Britt shot and deposited it into the net at 24:26 for the fourth goal. Britt closed out the first-half scoring by deflecting in a waist-high pass with 3:40 left behind the half.

Moen scored the lone goal of the second half at the 53:54 mark.

Shelly Drucker made seven saves in the first 16:52 of action. Kailey Brower played out the final 53:08—her first collegiate appearance—and stopped 13 shots. Eve Miller had three defensive saves.

Bryn Athyn continues the homestand on Saturday, Sept. 15 against Moravian at 1 p.m.
