Men's soccer falls to Rosemont in Colonial States Athletic Conference debut

ROSEMONT, Pa. – The Bryn Athyn College men's soccer team suffered a 5-0 defeat to host Rosemont College in its first-ever Colonial States Athletic Conference contest Friday night.

Josh Lessig broke through with the match's opening goal at the 37:18 mark as he put home a Zachary Young cross.

Timothy Reiners opened the second-half scoring with a pair of quick goals, separated by 2:38, to extend the Rosemont (3-4-0, 1-0-0 CSAC) advantage to 3-0 at 58:53. After Christian Rafter put the Ravens' fourth goal on the board, Reiners completed his hat-trick at 78:46 to make it a five-goal game.

Shane McCurdy stopped five saves in the game for Bryn Athyn (2-6-0, 0-1-0 CSAC), while the Ravens' Grant Gonzalez made two saves.

Bryn Athyn returns to non-conference play when the Lions travel to Neumann University on Wednesday, Sept. 26 at 7 p.m.
