Field hockey upended by Wilson in CSAC road contest

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. – The Bryn Athyn College field hockey team suffered a 7-0 Colonial States Athletic Conference loss to host Wilson College in its CSAC debut Saturday afternoon.

Wilson's (3-4, 1-0 CSAC) Lauren Moss began what would be a six-point afternoon (two goals, two assists) with the game's opening goal 62 seconds into the contest. Michaela Singer scored the first of her two goals at the 11:49 mark. Allison Reber scored the final goal of the opening half with 3:55 left before the break.

Moss made it a 4-0 game with the first goal of the second half at the 45:36 mark. Maddy Miller got into the scoring act, with an assist from Moss, 1:39 later for Wilson's fifth goal. With 16 minutes remaining, Singer scored the second of her two goals after getting a pass from Katie Shank. Mackenzie Bindas recorded the final goal at the 64:45 with Moss picking up an assist.

Bryn Athyn (1-5, 0-1 CSAC) starting goalie Shelly Drucker stopped a career-high 17 shots in 47:15 of action. Kailey Brower ended the game by making three saves in the final 22:45.

Bryn Athyn travels to Keystone for a CSAC match on Tuesday, Oct. 2 at 4 p.m.
