Men's soccer falls in overtime to Keystone in CSAC battle

Box Score

BRYN ATHYN, Pa. – The Bryn Athyn College men's soccer team suffered a tough 1-0 overtime loss to Colonial States Athletic Conference opponent Keystone College Saturday afternoon on General Ronald K. Nelson Field.

After a scoreless 99 minutes, the Giants' Daniel Zuniga scored the game's only goal on a header with 15.6 left in the overtime session. James Johnson flicked a cross into the box from outside the penalty area and Zuniga headed it box across the goalmouth where it bounced in off the right post.

Bryn Athyn (2-7-0, 0-2-0 CSAC) goalkeeper Shane McCurdy turned in a solid performance, stopping eight shots—one shy of his career high. Erick Gomez had two stops for Keystone (6-3-0, 1-1-0 CSAC). The Lions were outshot 19-4.

Bryn Athyn hosts The King's College (N.Y.) in a non-conference contest on Friday, Oct. 5 at 7 p.m. on General Ronald K. Nelson Field.
