BALTIMORE, Md. – Eve Miller scored her second goal of the season for the Bryn Athyn College field hockey team in a 4-1 loss to Notre Dame (Md.) Saturday afternoon on Alumnae Field.

Miller broke up the shutout when she scored an unassisted goal with just under five minutes remaining in the match.

The Lion defense was solid in the opening quarter as it held the Gators (7-6, 3-0 CSAC) to just three shot attempts, only one on goal that was stopped by goalie Kailey Brower.

Then, Kelsey Campbell got Notre Dame on the board with 4:55 left in the second quarter. Vanessa Dunn extended the Gator advantage to two when she scored just before the end of the third quarter.

Katie Hawkins and Dunn both scored in the fourth quarter to put the gap to 4-0.

Brower finished the contest with seven saves, including a fourth-quarter penalty stroke. Katherine Halle added a defensive save.

Bryn Athyn (1-10, 0-4 CSAC) returns home to take on the defending conference champion Keystone on Friday, Oct. 25 at 7 p.m.
