Box Score

DOVER, Del. -- The Bryn Athyn College men's soccer team suffered a 6-0 non-conference loss to host Wesley College Tuesday night on Drass Field.

Bryn Athyn did a solid job keeping Wesley (4-3-1) at bay during the opening half, playing to a scoreless deadlock at the break despite being outshot 11-1. Even though Wesley attempted 11 shots, the Wolverines only managed to get one on target, which was stopped by Lion keeper DJ Eldridge in the 10th minute.

Eldridge would be called upon to make the second of his two saves in the contest just 65 seconds into the second half.

Wesley broke through with goals from Joseph Esubalew and Kaiden Fields 2:36 apart to go ahead 2-0 at the 52:58 mark. With the score sitting at 3-0, Dylan Chi converted a penalty kick that was awarded after a Bryn Athyn infraction in the penalty area at 70:23. Kiernan Sundermann and Robert Evans closed out the scoring.

Bryn Athyn (0-8-0) begins Colonial States Athletic Conference play on Saturday, Sept. 28 when the Lions visit Centenary (N.J.) for a 1 p.m. start.
