Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Seniors shine for women's soccer on senior day

BRYN ATHYN, Pa. - Women's soccer welcomed Penn State Brandywine for senior day and dominated the game start to finish for a 9-0 win.

Prior to the game, Head Coach Bill O'Neill and the women's soccer program honored one of the most decorated classes in program history: Ashley Rivera, Paulina Storck, Payton Gormley, and Tori Titano.

Inside the box score How it happened
  • Titano wasted no time to get the Lions on the board scoring 12 seconds into the game off a cross from Kalie Soulsby. The goal was the quickest goal in program history
  • Shea Gormley scored in the 3rd minute after Rivera made a great cross off a corner
  • Scarpiello made the score 3-0 for the Lions in the 7th minute
  • The Lions offensive blitz continued with Titano netting her second goal in the 10th minute
  • The offense slowed down for Bryn Athyn, but Squares tallied the 5th goal for the home team at the 27 minute mark
  • Rivera would net her goal late in the first half
  • Lions would take a 6-0 lead at the break
  • Titano would score her 3rd and 4th goal two minutes apart in the 65th and 67th minute.
  • Payton Gormley would finish the scoring for the Lions in the 79th minute 
  • Bryn Athyn would win 9-0 
Notes
  • Rivera and Titano are currently tied for 2nd all time in goals in program history
  • Gomrley and Storck have been anchors of the defensive unit for the Lions
  • The class of 2021 is one of the most prolific classes to come through for women's soccer
