How it Happened
- Bryn Athyn and Rosemont played contrasting styles.
- The Lions wanted to attack and put pressure on the defense with their athleticism and skill. Rosemont settled in and was content to be opportunistic in counter situations
- The Ravens did just that and struck first at the 24 minute mark to take a 1-0 lead
- Gormley would even the score in the 39th minute off a cross from fellow senior Titano
- The teams would head into break tied 1-1
- Rosemont would again strike first in the half with a goal from distance off the foot of Mia Rafter in the 54th minute
- The Lions would draw a penalty a minute later. Maria Storck hit the post, but Lindsay Kinsky crashed and scored off the rebound to tie the game and electrify the crowd
- The Lions searched for the winner, creating several quality chances.
- Storck was finally able to breakthrough with the winner with 2 minutes left in the game.
