LANCASTER, Pa. - The Bryn Athyn College Women's Basketball team put together their most complete effort of the shortened 2021 season, but was upended on a last second three point shot from the Chargers.
The Lions started the first frame strong. The teams were tied 7-7 mid way through the first quarter, but the Lions made a strong 12-4 spurt to give a 19-11 lead. Bryn Athyn continued their strong play in the second quarter, and stretched their lead to 25-10 on an
Aida Barry layup. The Chargers would not go away responding with their own 15-5 run with just over three minutes remaining in the half. Both teams went cold to close the second quarter and the Lions went into half time with a 30-25 lead. The Lions and Chargers went back and forth in the third quarter. Bryn Athyn was able to add two points to their lead and led 43-36 entering the fourth quarter. The Chargers opened the fourth on a 7-0 run to make it an even game. The game continued to go back-and-forth down the stretch, and Lancaster Bible took a 57-55 lead on a layup with 1:01 to play.
Clayshonia Cogmon, continued to shine and came up big tying the game at 57-57 with 44 seconds to play, and after a turnover by each team, Lancaster Bible came out of a timeout with 22.5 seconds to play and the shot clock turned off. The Chargers ran offense and found an open player in the corner who sank the game winning three with 1.5 seconds left. Bryn Athyn could not get a shot off in the final second and dropped the Lions to 0-4 on the year.

- Clayshonia Cogmon had a monster night with 15 points and 22 rebounds, Jayda Campbell added eight points and two boards, Terrae Lewis contributed seven points and six rebounds.
- Bryn Athyn is averaging 11.5 steals per game
