How it Happened

  • That changed early in the second quarter when a few offensive miscues by Bryn Athyn led to easy buckets for Rutgers.
  • The Lions clawed back from a 10-point hole with strong rim pressure by Thornhill and clutch shooting by Ward, going up by 6 with a minute to go in the half.
  • Bryn Athyn maintained that lead throughout the third, fending off some small pushes by Rutgers to stay in the lead going into the final frame.
  • The Lions' offense sputtered in the fourth, allowing the Scarlet Knights to take control down the stretch
  • Rutgers would go on to win 63-55
