Women's Basketball competes with Penn State Abington

BRYN ATHYN, Pa. - The Bryn Athyn College women's basketball team lost to Penn State Abington on Monday, January 9th with a final score of 67-53.  

Inside the Box Score 
  • Senior, Kaylia Duncan led the Lions with 9 points, 5 steals, and 4 rebounds.  
  • Senior, Kearah Henry led the Lions game in rebounding with 9 rebounds. She also had 7 points and 5 assists.  
  • Freshman, Alexa Osafo-Mensah also scored 7 points and grabbed 6 rebounds.  
  • Graduate student, Alisha McKnight was the third teammate to score 7 points and she also had 3 steals.  
How it Happened  
  • In the first quarter, Penn State capitalized on most scoring opportunities. They scored first at the 8:41 mark.  
  • Bryn Athyn managed to follow closely behind and tie the game on 4 separate occasions.  
  • However, after the first quarter, Penn State was leading 19-12. 
  • In the second quarter, Bryn Athyn still trailed behind Penn State.  
  • Penn State did not allow Bryn Athyn to score from when the clock hit 6:20 until there was 1:30 left in the quarter. 
  • At halftime, Penn State was leading the game, 33-26. 
  • After the half, a good 3-pointer by Reilly Ward and a layup by Kaylia Duncan put Bryn Athyn within 5 points.  
  • Despite a huge effort from Bryn Athyn, they still could not gain the lead. After the third quarter, they trailed, 48-41. 
  • The fourth quarter followed the pattern of the last three and Bryn Athyn fell to Penn State Abington with a score of 67-53.

  • The bench contributed 25 points.
