Women's Soccer executes on Senior Day

BRYN ATHYN, Pa. - The women's soccer team fought through wind and rain to get a big Senior Day victory over Clarks Summit on Saturday.

Inside the Box Score How it Happened
  • Initially, the Defenders had the upper hand despite playing two women down, attacking Lions goalkeeper Breanna Smith immediately.
  • However the Lions did not let that slide, firing three shots and a goal before the 7:00 mark.
  • Six shots and nine minutes went by before Bryn Athyn's second score, which was quickly followed by a third.
  • Clarks Summit played competitive defense for the bulk of the first period.
  • Bryn Athyn ended the half with an eruption of goals (3 in the final 13 minutes) to take a 6-0 lead into halftime.
  • The Lions would go on to win 10-0.

  • Alumnus Ashley Rivera was honored at halftime to receive her 2022-23 CSAC Scholar-Athlete of the Year award.
