Men's Soccer celebrates Senior Day with pivotal win

BRYN ATHYN, Pa. - The men's soccer team got a much-needed win on Saturday, beating Clarks Summit 4-1. 

Inside the Box Score
  • Tim Ragan compiled a hat trick, using his head for 2 of the 3 goals. 
  • Justin Lykunov cleaned up nicely with 1 goal, thanks to a beautiful ball from Nathan Scavo (1 assist). 
  • AJ Falgiatore seized his Senior Day with 2 assists: 1 off a free kick and 1 off a corner. 
How it Happened
  • Bryn Athyn controlled the ball for the majority of the first half, but just couldn't get a shot in net for a while. 
  • Clarks Summit got an opportunity midway through the period and capitalized, scoring in the 27th minute.
  • That was a wake up call for the Lions, who tied the match three minutes later, and then took the lead five minutes after that.
  • The first half would end 2-1 in favor of the Lions.  
  • The home team wasted no time, as Falgiatore and Ragan linked up for a second time to go up 3-1. 
  • Lykunov put the dagger in in the 62nd minute, securing the 4-1 victory. 
Notes
  • Bryn Athyn is now 3-4 in United East games, good enough for 6th place in the Skye Division and a berth in the Conference Tournament. 
  • Clarks Summit finishes the season 2-5-1 in conference.
