BRYN ATHYN, Pa. - The men's soccer team earned a statement victory over John Jay under the Friday night lights, winning 4-1.

• Nathan Scavo scored 2 goals and totaled 5 shots. 
• Joey O'Neill registered a goal and 3 shots. 
• Mike Carmody put in a goal and logged 2 shots.
• Sean Scalen had perhaps the highlight of the night with a beautiful assist on one of Scavo's goals. 

How it Happened

• The first 40 minutes had everything but scoring: breakaways, corners, shots on goal, and contact galore. 
• The scoring drought was finally broken on a penalty kick from Scavo, which was the result of goalie interference by the Bloodhounds. 
• The Lions went into halfitme up 1-0. 
• Soon after the start of the second half, Scavo scored once again, this time off a dime from Scalen. 
• O'Neill and Carmody put cherries on top at the end, resulting in a 4-1 Lions victory.

• Bryn Athyn outshot John Jay 15-11 (8-7 on goal). 
• Bryn Athyn is now 1-3-1 on the year, while John Jay is 2-3-0.
