Coaches Corner
  • ""We had lots of good play on both sides of the ball tonight, and that led to us checking off the boxes we needed to in order to get the result we needed at home against a feisty Cairn team. The defensive effort and execution was there from everybody. One of the real strengths of our team when we are at our best is our ability to go to our bench and have people come in and lock up and execute in terms of getting stops, and we were on top of our game there tonight. Zhymani Smith had another huge game, 30 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists, took care of the ball, super efficient, made others better in the process. And of course, the day belongs to Alayna Day, becoming the third member of the 1000 point club in our program's history. Alayna is the ultimate competitor, a proven winner, and someone who just shows up the same everyday, locked in and ready to do her job. She's more than just a scorer. We are proud of her, and it's great that her name will dawn that banner here in the field house forever!" - Head Coach Travis Ponton
