Box Score Bryn Athyn, Pa.- The Bryn Athyn College women's volleyball team defeated Gwynedd-Mercy 3-1 in Thursday night action. The game scores were 25-23, 25-20, 20-25, and 25-10.
Kaitlyn Brock led the Lions with 16 kills, four digs, and two block assists. Cree Gurney registered 25 assists, three service aces, and seven digs. Holly Adams recorded six service aces, while Cathleen Curran notched seven digs and three service aces. Kara Cowley added five kills and Kinu Butler recorded two blocks.
Cowley expressed, "Our positive attitudes and communication gave us the win tonight. We hope to carry the momentum from this win into our tri-match this weekend."
Coach Petersmeyer stated, "The girls really pulled it together tonight. It was great to have Cathleen back in the lineup, and we're excited to have another win under our belts."
The Lions return to the road Saturday, September 22nd to face Christendom College and Valley Forge Christian. The matches are slated for 10am and 12 pm.
