Front Royal, Va.- The Bryn Athyn College women's volleyball team swept the Christendom tri-match, defeating both Christendom and Valley Forge Christian in Saturday afternoon action.
In game one of the tri-match, the Lions defeated Christendom 3-1. The game scores were 25-22, 23-25, 25-23, and 25-20.
Kaitlyn Brock led the team with a season high 19 kills, five digs, and seven service aces. Holly Adams recorded nine kills, six digs, and three service aces. Kara Cowley led the defense with nine digs, and added six kills and seven service aces. Cree Gurney dished out 34 assists, and six service aces.
In game two, the Lions defeated Valley Forge Christian 3-0. The game scores were 25-10, 25-12, and 26-24.
Adams led the team with seven kills, five digs, and three service aces. Brock registered seven kills and four service aces, while Cowley added three kills and five digs. Gurney recorded 17 assists, and five service aces.
Coach Petersmeyer expressed, "I'm really proud of the team as they've seemed to hit their stride. We're playing really well as a team, and it has paid off with a three game winning streak."
Eden Zecher stated, "I'm really proud of our team's achievements this weekend. We played smart and had fun while doing so."
The Lions return to the road Tuesday, September 25th to face PSU Harrisburg. The game is slated for 7:00pm.
