Box Score 2 Bryn Athyn, Pa.- The Bryn Athyn College women's volleyball team fell 3-1 in game one of their tri-match to the College of Staten Island in Saturday morning action. The game scores 25-13, 19-25, 25-17 and 25-18.
Kaitlyn Brock led the Lions with 11 kills and nine digs. Beth Tough registered nine kills and two block assists, while Holly Adams added six kills and ten digs. Cathleen Curran led the defense with 17 digs and three service aces, while Cree Gurney dished out 36 assists.
In game two of the tri-match, the Lions defeated Christendom for the second time this season, 3-1. The game scores were 25-23, 17-25, 25-22, and 25-23.
Brock led the team with 18 kills, 15 digs, and one block. Adams added 11 kills and five digs, while Eden Zecher recorded seven kills. Gurney registered a season high 54 assists, seven kills, and eight digs. Kara Cowley and Kinu Butler both notched six kills. Curran recorded 14 digs, and Natalie Daum registered three service aces.
The Lions return to the road Tuesday, October 2nd to face PSU- Brandywine. The match is slated for 7:00pm.
